In 1950 Max Bill - genius and multifaceted artist of the 20th century - designed Sgabillo for industrial design school Ulm: a practical and modern object, trait d'union between the functional lines of the 1950s and the values of the tradition of Bauhaus. The structure, apparently simple, is actually the result of complex craft skills: 3 layers of birch with swallow tail recess, connected to the base by a cylindrical beech rod. In 1975 Aurelio Zanotta transform Sgabillo in a furnishing accessory suitable for various uses and perfect for any room. Pure triumph in irony Saddle sitting stool designed in 1957 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and produced by Zanotta in 1983.
