On October 29, 2020 by Sotheby’s New York a dining table designed by Carlo Mollino was sold for $6.2 million. Turin, an eclectic genius and an eccentric architect, is one of the most frequently used names in the pages of history Zanotta. It was Zanotta in fact that in the early 1980s he contributed to the statement of Mollino, producing many of his pieces. In 1990 it was the turn ofthe Royal Tables, designed by Mollino in 1948 for the offices of the Royal Insurance Mutua of Turin. A masterpiece of engineering in which a compact bone wood in which it fits with precision to others, is valued by a crystal top that almost frames it.
