"A fragment of everyday life, a project of living together in a new home". If Nena - the armchair padded with Zanotta with structure in painted steel and removable cover in fabric - was the protagonist of a story, its history would be dynamic and recognizable just like her. Designed by Lanzavecchia + Wai in 2020, nena armchair is the result of careful research on comfort and refined details (see removable fabric cover thanks to the zip concealed by a rouche that outlines the elegant roundness of the back). Nena is a armchair table ideal for home and relaxation, but also for a work environment or for a restaurant.

On October 29, 2020 by Sotheby’s New York a dining table designed by Carlo Mollino was sold for $6.2 million. Turin, an eclectic genius and an eccentric architect, is one of the most frequently used names in the pages of history Zanotta. It was Zanotta in fact that in the early 1980s he contributed to the statement of Mollino, producing many of his pieces. In 1990 it was the turn ofthe Royal Tables, designed by Mollino in 1948 for the offices of the Royal Insurance Mutua of Turin. A masterpiece of engineering in which a compact bone wood in which it fits with precision to others, is valued by a crystal top that almost frames it.

Pure triumph in irony Saddle sitting stool designed in 1957 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and produced by Zanotta in 1983. Bizarre and extravagant, this design complement is made with a real racing bicycle saddle, fixed on a pink painted steel rod (the color refers to that of the winner of the Giro d’Italia jersey), and a swinging base. The idea of the project was originally born to make more comfortable calls: at the end of the Fifties, in fact, the vast majority of telephones were installed on the wall and those who used them had to remain next to the device.

In 1950 Max Bill - genius and multifaceted artist of the 20th century - designed Sgabillo for industrial design school Ulm: a practical and modern object, trait d'union between the functional lines of the 1950s and the values of the tradition of Bauhaus. The structure, apparently simple, is actually the result of complex craft skills: 3 layers of birch with swallow tail recess, connected to the base by a cylindrical beech rod. In 1975 Aurelio Zanotta transform Sgabillo in a furnishing accessory suitable for various uses and perfect for any room. This stool can be easily transported from room to room, thanks to the cross that becomes handle. Sgabillo, a small stool with great applications!
